With Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and iOS 5 expected to be the main attractions at Apple's upcoming WWDC in San Francisco, expectations by some that the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 will also appear are being doused by another cruncher from a different bunch.

With only hours to go before Apple launches the iPad 2, plenty of unanswered questions await their destiny, including what may be the most intriguing pre-launch question of them all: will Steve Jobs at all be doing the do and launching himself the iPad 2?

With the March 2 date for the expected iPad 2 launch rapidly approaching, some wonder about the specs, but the big question is whether or not iPads will jive on overdrive to iOS 5.

A Sky News article has quoted an SMH article quoting Netgear's global CEO, Patrick Lo, who went so low as to take jabs at the lain-low Steve Jobs, while seemingly predicting doom for the iPhone at the hands of the Android.

So much is still not known about the iPad 2, but plenty is being guessed at by the world's iPrognosticators, all of whom have specific things they want to see, but whether Steve Jobs will let them be is still an unknown unknown.

Although iOS 4.3 was rumoured by many to be arriving in December, complete with some kind of new newspaper subscription facility, the rapidly approaching end of December likely means no iOS 4.3 until 2011 - if we don't skip straight to iOS 5.0 instead.

One of these interminable '10 things' lists has popped up, this time about what is 'hated' about the iPad, but are they really worthy of all the hate, seeing as hate leads to anger, and anger leads to the dark side (or is it the Android side) of the force?

Ah, iPad. Ye of the large screen, the svelte OS, the apps galore in the Apple App Store, the tablet that has put four to the floor in getting tablet popularity up, and tablets out the door, the tablet that will probably still be remembered in years ten and four score, but what will be thy successor's name: iPad 2?

Apple's iOS 4.2.1 has been eagerly downloaded by millions around the world, eager to enjoy the multifunctional benefits the update brings, while rumours of iOS 4.3 arriving in December won't stop, with jailbreaking hackers also having updated Cydia for 4.2.1 compatibility!

With Apple loving its symmetry and design, and with the Beatles day we'll never forget being memorable for not delivering iOS 4.2 with it, questions over whether the palindromic quality of 24 and 4.2 play any part in Apple's decisions to unleash its latest OS unto an impatient iPad-owning public!

With Apple potentially unleashing an iTunes cloud service, the entire Beatles collection, iOS 4.2, a cure for cancer, a way to transmute lead into gold, and the explanation of the significance of 4.2 as the answer to the question of life, the universe and everything, the journey to the iOS 4.2 side of the force is nearly complete.

Misdirection. It's a great tactic when the world is expecting you to zig, and instead you zag, remaining unpredictable and keeping juicy 'one more thing' secrets under your turtleneck until it's time to pop them out at the last minute, which could happen if iOS 4.2 isn't released tomorrow!

First up it's faulty Wi-Fi in the iOS 4.2 gold master, then there's word the Verizon iPhone 4 is what could be holding iOS 4.2 back, then comes news the second gold master has fixed the Wi-Fi problem which might mean iOS 4.2 arriving sooner rather than later, but with every passing day users must simply wait out the delay.

Apple's iOS 4.2 might be launching tomorrow or not until late November, but there's a suggestion that iPad users might still be getting an update as 4.2 will be the 'first' iOS 4 the iPad has access to and it will probably need an update!
